SUMMARY To oversee / monitor the administration of company contracts and ensure agreed criteria is adhered to and performance standards met thereby contributing to the successful conclusion of contracts and sustainable earnings growth. ACTIVITIES 1. Monitors compliance of contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice on main contract & sub-contractors. 2. Monitor all incoming works instructions and project documentation and raise the necessary contractual notices as required. 3. Draft all general contractual correspondence in conjunction with the applicable project management team members as required. 4. Reply to contractual correspondence in conjunction with the applicable project management team members. 5. Quantification of contract variations and claims in conjunction with the QS team. 6. Maintain the necessary claims registers for reporting purposes. 7. Review and assess sub-contractor claims and variations. 8. Assist the project managers with the commercial management of all sub-contractors. 9. Provide general advice to the project team on the application of the conditions of contract as required. 10. Initiates and/or conducts meetings with contractors concerning contractual problems as requested by Project Manager. 11. Interprets contract provisions to help resolve claims and questions submitted by contractors. 12. Establishes and updates records of all correspondence related to contract activity. 13. Assist Commercial Director with preparing and co-ordinating initial project contracts/ agreements when required. 14. Negotiate the finalization of variations to the contract with the client. 15. Negotiate the finalization of claims with the client. 16. Facilitate, along with the necessary legal expertise, the drafting of contract addendums and amendments. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor’s degree in Structural / Civil Engineering 2. Suitable law qualification COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT 1. Written communication: Written communication refers to the potential or capacity to convey information by means of written instructions in an accurate, concrete, clear, concise and understandable manner in order to maximize comprehension of the message. 6. Customer orientation: Customer orientation refers to the potential or capacity to focus on and achieve standards of service which comply with the highest expectations of clients. 7. Judgement: Developing alternative courses of action and making decisions which are based on logical assumptions and which reflect factual information. 8. Administrative recall: Develops a system of access to specific organizational information and has a demonstrated capability for retrieval and information delivery. 9. Analysis: Relating and comparing data from different sources, identifying issues, securing relevant information and identifying relationships. 10. Tech./Prof. Proficiency: Level of performance in Technical / Professional area. 11. Product knowledge: Understanding the products of the Company at the appropriate level. 12.
